Congratulations to Professor Mark Hamilton! At the 184th meeting of the Acoustical Society of America held in Chicago, IL, our very own Dr. Hamilton was awarded the Gold Medal of the Acoustical Society of America “for contributions to theoretical nonlinear acoustics, education, and for service to and leadership of the society.” Dr. Hamilton was also awarded the David T. Blackstock Mentorship Award from the ASA Student Council for his excellence in mentoring and supervising students. The award was presented by John Cormack, one of Dr. Hamilton’s former Ph.D. students and alumnus of the UT acoustics program.
