ASA Student Chapter General Meeting

Hey everyone!
I hope that you have all been able to settle into the semester and are making progress toward whatever your goals may be.
This week, our ASA meeting will be focused on national fellowships (NSF, NDSEG, Hertz, etc.). Dr. Tehrani and the ME department held a seminar last week on this topic, so hopefully this will act as a filler for those of you who were not able to make it and are interested in applying.
A few other details:
- Dr. Karl Fischer (Executive Director, ARL:UT) will be giving the Texas Acoustics seminar this week after the ASA student chapter meeting. If you are unfamiliar with ARL and its relationship to our acoustics program, this is a great opportunity to learn!
- Dr. Steve Garrett is scheduled for an “Ask me anything” on Sept 23. Dr. Garrett is a pioneer in many aspects of acoustics and has won multiple awards for environmental technology. He has held faculty positions and national fellowships, received many patents, and written an acoustics textbook. Please think of any questions you might want to ask Dr. Garrett and if you are not comfortable asking, feel free to send them to me and I will start compiling a list of questions to ask.
