Blue Ridge Research and Consulting, LLC (BRRC) is hiring acoustical engineers! We are seeking exceptional graduating students for multiple full-time positions at our ten-person acoustical engineering firm in Asheville, North Carolina.

New hires will support our active research and consulting projects for NASA, FAA, Army, Navy, Air Force, Forest Service, and Commercial Space clients. Our current projects include:

  • Measurements: fighter jets, rockets, commercial aircraft, and UAS/UAM vehicles
  • Computational modeling: community noise, sonic booms, soundscapes, rocket emissions, and jet blast
  • Data analysis: machine learning, CFD, and array processing
  • Consulting studies: environmental assessments of airports and spaceports

The Ocean Acoustics and Signals Laboratory at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is looking to hire several tenure-track scientists in ocean acoustics. We are seeking candidates at all ranks with the potential to complement or diversify existing strengths and become the next wave of ocean acoustics leadership. Of interest are all aspects of fundamental and applied ocean acoustics. We invite expansive interpretations of our research, teaching, and scholarly pursuits and welcome interdisciplinary approaches. Candidates with strong experience in signal processing, inverse problems, wireless communication, and wave physics, and interested in ocean applications are also encouraged to apply.
