Student Chapter Announcements

General Meeting -- Friday

Our general chapter meeting will be Friday, March 6th, at 3pm in ETC 2.114. We'll be discussing upcoming events, grad skills seminars, and elections. Come hang out and discuss the future of the ASA student chapter here at UT Austin. Refreshments will be served.

Explore UT Outreach -- Saturday

Thanks to everyone who helped with Girl Day 2015 on Saturday. We're hoping for a successful outreach event at Explore UT this Saturday. If you are volunteering, please reply to this email with your name and T-shirt size. Volunteers should plan to meet in ETC 6.202 at 10:00 am. 

Post-Doc Announcement 

Dr. Haberman wanted me to pass on the following announcement from NRL: 

The Physical Acoustics branch at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is seeking postdoctoral candidates. The position involves working in a group environment on the development of an innovative sonar concept. Research consists of adapting in-house finite element software and/or utilizing commercially available packaged to explore novel transducer geometries. The candidate should have completed a PhD program in physics, acoustics, engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field prior to the start of the program. Familiarity with finite element software is a plus. US citizenship and ability to obtain a clearance is required.  If interested, or if you have any questions regarding the position, please send your CV to Dr. Ben Dzikowicz, ben.dzikowicz@nrl.navy.mil.
