Hello everyone,
I hope your summer is treating you well. There are some fellowship opportunities available coming up in the next couple of weeks that may interest you.
1.) Continuing Student Fellowship for 2019-2020
[DEADLINE JUNE 6TH]
Nominated by a faculty member (your advisor) and details must include:
- Student’s UT EID
- Nomination Letter: include any accomplishments (patents, publications, awards) in the letter.
Options for the award:
Multi-Year Only: Accepting nominations for the Cockrell Fellowships only. These have the most restrictions: U.S. Citizen / Permanent Resident; UT GPA of at least 3.5; Students pursuing or planning to pursue a PhD; Texas, Louisiana or Wyoming residents; Research areas restricted to Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
One-Year Only
2.) Graduate Dean's Prestigious Fellowship Supplements
[DEADLINE JUNE 12TH]
These are for students that CURRENTLY hold competitive, prestigious, large (typically $15,000 stipend or more) external fellowships that recognize the student's academic achievements. This is for students on Fulbright, Hertz, NSF or other similar prestigious, large fellowships. (I think an argument could be made for the NDSEG and SMART Scholarships)
Funding available: The cash award is $1,000. A waiver for the out-of-state portion of tuition may also be provided, depending on the nature of the external fellowship and number of waivers available.
Nominations must include:
- Student’s UT EID
- Nomination Letter
- Evidence of award to student
Enjoy your summer!
