We are thrilled to announce that Chirag Gokani, a last-year PhD candidate, has been selected as the next recipient of the Frederick V. Hunt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Acoustics for 2026-2027, beginning after his graduation next summer. After graduation, he will work with Prof. Likun Zhang at the University of Mississippi on the topic of acoustic radiation force. Here is a list of past recipients of the fellowship.
As a McKinney Fellow and the 2024–2025 chair of the ASA Student Chapter, Chirag has already made a significant impact on the Texas Acoustics community. We are confident that he will conduct remarkable research with this new opportunity. We wish him the best in his next career endeavor.
